Book Summary
Pixie
and Levi haven't spoken in nearly a year when they find themselves working—and
living—at the same inn in the middle of nowhere. Once upon a time, they were childhood
friends. But that was before everything
went to tell. And now things
are...awkward.
All they
want to do is avoid each other, and their past, for as long as possible. But now that they’re forced to share a
bathroom, and therefore a shower, keeping their distance from one another
becomes less difficult than keeping their hands off each other. Welcome to the hallway of awkward and sexual
frustration, folks. Get comfy. It's going to be a long summer.
First Impressions

What I Loved
The
sexual tension between these two was just tangible I could feel it between
those two right off the bad. In the
beginning of the book where Pixie is trying to think of chopping peppers and
not Levi's body was great. You
immediately get a sense of what is between them, what used to be between them,
and what they both wish was between them now.
Even if you don't know all their deep dark secrets you still know they
desperately wish things could be different between the two. Right away I just wanted them to bang and get
it over with and I enjoy feeling that anxiousness while reading a book because
to me that means I'm totally into the story and tapping right into that strain.
Not So Much

Also being
from New Jersey I'm not too happy with the stereotype of Angelo that because
he's from New Jersey, it Italian and has tons of tattoos that automatically
means he's in the mob. But I get it,
it's kind of funny in a way and when I meet people all over the country I hear
all about the ridiculous generalizations made about people from Jersey. Whenever Angelo is on the scene I'm annoyed
and laughing all at the same time.
Overall
The
pace of the book was a little slow for me I felt like after a while the back
and forth between Levi and Pixie got to be a kind of boring. The character development though was great
and so were the details revolving around their personalities. I felt like by the end of the book I felt
like I really knew these people. There
some points where I was hysterically crying while reading and other times when
actually laughed out loud. Great book
and I really liked this author definitely making me want to me read more from
Chelsea Fine. I kind of wish I got to
see more of the“new” Pixie and Levi at the end of the book but I think even if
I got that I would want more because I just love them so much. I had a feeling the next book would involve
Kayla and Daren and I'm glad I was right can't wait to read this one!
