Madeline Sheehan, and Saving Dallas (Saving
Dallas, #1) by Kim Jones then you LOVE this
book!!!
Book Summary
But
Marie just left her abusive of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new
man. Especially one like Horse –she doesn't know his real name of where he lives, she’s ninety perfect certain he’s a
criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website
design. She needs him out of her life,
which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.
Horse
is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes
it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s
not interest in becoming “property of”.
Then
her brother steals from the club. Marie
can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike…If
she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can
offer, and he’ll let her brother live.
Maybe.
What I loved About This Book
First
of all, hot damn!!! Horse is probably the hottest biker character I have ever
read. There isn't enough time to write
about just how awesome he is, you just have to read this book and find out for
yourself. I think what I liked most
about Horse is that you can’t really ever figure him out, he’s very dynamic and
complex which to makes him more of a realistic character than just purely
fictional. I think the same thing can be
said for Marie as well, she to me is definitely has a more down to earth
personality than I have read in other books which it makes easy to relate
to. I think every character in this book
is a person that on some level we have all come into contact with, and that
what I love most about this book. I like
characters that are more earthy and real because it makes it easier for me to
become more emotionally invested in the story.
Not So Much
I don’t have a lot of complaints about this book. I kind of would've liked to have seen more of Marie’s mother. I feel like for a
daughter who loves her mom I wish there was more of her in this book and maybe
going into that back story a little bit more.
You kind of knew why her mother was jail but I would've liked more
detail. I felt like Marie’s back story in
general could’ve been a little bit more detailed as well as Horse’s. You meet his sister but you don’t really much
else about his family or really even meet them, which is a little odd to
me. You get to know the members of the
MC pretty well but very little is mentioned about his family. I did feel like the story was a little slow
at times but I never got bored, and I appreciated it when it would speed up
again and the author definitely knew when it could zoom ahead or when it was
appropriate to slow down.
Overall
