Easier said than done…
But if these two fiery lovers are going to have a real second chance at this
kind of intense, passionate, bone-deep love, he’ll have to give her his whole
heart, and she’ll have to give up all the secrets from her messy past.
And that messy past is about to spill over into her carefully constructed present…
Watching Shannon and
Brent’s relationship crumple before my eyes in the Prologue broke my heart and
instantly sucked me in. Seeing the
mistakes that Brent made by letting Shannon walk out of his life didn’t make me
hate him but somehow endeared him more to me and I fell head over heels in love
with this dude. The same can be said for
Shannon as well, seeing her heart break into a million pieces in a matter of
minutes gutted me and I just wanted her to find her happily ever after.
I really don’t have any major
complaints about this story it was so amazing!
I did feel like there was some plot hole at certain points; like I wish
I got to see conversations that never took place. Plus, there was a lot going on as the story
progresses and for me it became a little too chaotic and hard to keep track of. There’s a ton of background characters and
traveling back and forth and at some points it became a little too much for
me. It could’ve been streamlined a
little better since the overall plot of this series is established in this book
and seems to carry over into the next one.
Overall, I really
enjoyed this story a lot and can’t wait to read the next one in the
series. Not only do you get to know all
about Shannon and Brent you get a look into Shannon’s family as well which just
added to the overall story. Plus, the
foundation of the story was laid out wonderfully, and the pace of the book was
right on point, I never felt like the book got too slow or too fast. My heart went out to both Brent and Shannon,
they were easy characters to love and made it easy to become emotionally
involved in their lives.
And that messy past is about to spill over into her carefully constructed present…
What
I Loved
Years later it was great to see that
although separately, they both were able to build successful careers, but
something was always missing in their lives.
I couldn’t wait for them to see each other again, I knew it was going to
be magical and it totally was!! The
chemistry between them roared and the connection they once shared was alive and
well several years later.
What I loved most about this book was
the playfulness between Brent and Shannon as well as the raunchiness. Brent always had a way to make Shannon laugh
or have her panties soaking wet and I loved every second of it! The back and forth between them was
refreshing in a way because it was less, will they won’t they, more building a foundation
for lasting love. It put a new spin on a
romance novel for me which definitely kept me interested.
Not
So Much
I really don’t have any major

To
Sum It All Up!
Not only did I love the story between
Brent and Shannon but I loved the buildup of suspense of the series. Some pieces of the puzzle are starting to be
put together and I love a good mystery! The overall plot of the series was
established beautifully and of course there was cliffhanger that I did not see
coming at all! If you are not a fan of cliffhangers make sure you got Sinful
Desire on hand because you’re going to want to have that right on hand the
minute you finish reading this one.
