Last week I was in the penthouse with a sexy Australian billionaire. Now I’m back to Netflix Friday nigths and leftover takeout. And it’s all my fault.

I’m the one who left the high life behind, and all because I couldn’t bring myself to go through with a sham marriage to my sexy boss Grant Devlin — because I went and fell in love with him for real.

I know, stupid.

Now he won’t talk to me, my job is hanging by a thread, and oh yeah, an evil plot to take over Devlin Media Corp means all my hard work could be for nothing. If we’re going to save the company, I need Grant’s help.

Help that doesn’t include hot sex in the copy room.

What I Loved

This series had a lot of really funny moments which I really loved the most. I consider my inner dialogue to be pretty funny but Lacey’s mind is full way more hilariousness then I ever imagined. I also loved that because of her non filter when she told her boss what she really thinks of him it got her a new job rather than fired! The minute Grant walks onto the scene you feel the power he has over people, his charisma oozes from his pours and into your heart making you fall in love with him immediately. The physical attraction Lacey feels for him is instantaneous no matter how annoying Grant can be, he is always to charm is way out of it and into her pants!

I loved that as the series moved along we get to learn that Grant is so much more than meets the eye, and it made me fall in love with him even more. It was so awesome seeing him fall for Lacey just as much as she was falling for him! The sexual tension between them definitely reaches some pretty hot points and when it all finally explodes I was not disappointed in the least.

Not So Much

This was a really cute quick series to read and there was so much I loved about it but I do wish there was more details. I get that these are short stories but a couple more paragraphs of certain things would’ve been great. I still have no idea what Devlin Media Corp really does for other businesses. I get it’s involved in media but that’s a very broad field so some more explanation would’ve been great. Plus, it’s never really explained what department Lacey works in, is she in marketing at this company or public relations? It’s never spelled out specifically making the plot seem a little shallow.

To Sum It All Up!

Overall this was a really great read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Lacey is someone who is grounded and realistic making her easy to relate to and easy to become emotionally involved in the story. My heart soared for her at times and broke for her at others. Grant was a character I fell for instantly, his charming good looks and personality suck the reader. All you want to do is rip his clothes off do nasty things with him and then cuddle with afterwards. The plot was pretty compelling, with parts 1 and 2 ending with a little bit of a cliffhanger. Of course there is a happily ever after at the end which left a big smile on my face. If you’re looking for a quick love story with some drama, some sex, and lots of love then this the series for you!
