Laura’s Review of Forever with You (Fixed, #3) by Laurelin Paige

If you LOVE The Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy by E.L. James, the Stark trilogy by J. Kenner, the Collide series by Gail McHugh, and the Up in the Air series by R.K. Lilley then this book is for you!!!!!!!

Basic Summary

Alayna Winters relationship with Hudson Pierce has tested bother her and his ability to trust.  They decide that the only way they can move forward together is with open doors and transparency.  It won’t be easy for the scarred lovers, but they’re committed to each other more now than ever.  Alayna, in particular, has grown through their trials, and has emerged more confident and faithful to the man she loves.

But while the pair is focused on the future, their past shows up again to threaten their fragile bond.  Promises that were made are broken, and Alayna learns that Hudson still has very potent secrets—secrets that will tear them both apart.  As much as she feels for him, her ability to forgive and forget is tested beyond her limits.

Even though she found the only man who could fix her, a forever with Hudson seems more and more out of reach.

What I Love About This Book
I missed Alayna and Hudson, and the ending of book two definitely left me wanting more of them.  This book starts immediately after book two ended so you don’t lose any time with these two, and of course right away it is hot hot hot! I love the chemistry between the two of these people and they definitely seem to have that everlasting love going on between the two of them.

This book totally takes you for a ride and it is one hell of a roller coaster.  There are a bunch of highs followed by some very low lows.  But that’s what I love so much about books like this, that you make you feel all happy and believe in love on one page and then all of sudden you’re angry and on the verge of crying hating men!  This story definitely brought forth all those emotions and so much more and I was happy to go along with it.  There was a certain point where I couldn't put this book down and just needed to get to the next chapter.

Like any series that deals with billionaire play boys that suddenly fall in love with a beautiful woman, there are tons of hot steamy moments.  This series does not disappoint, great sex scenes didn't feel like they were all skipped over and not talked about, just the right amount of sex between these two.  The drama in this book was awesome and you finally get answers to a lot of the questions you might have from the last two books.

Cons

If you were to read this book as a standalone and not read the other two, for quite some time you would have no clue what Hudson or Alayna look like.  There is no description whatsoever except for Hudson’s fine physique and his eyes what the two main characters really look like at all.  Even in the first book all you know about Alayna is that she has long brown hair, and that’s it!  She’s the main character and the books are from her point of view but there is very little explanation of her looks.

There are a lot of details missing throughout the story as well, in the very beginning when they are aboard a yacht you kind of a description of the boat but not very specific, and for that matter at that point you have no idea what Hudson and Alayna’s apartment looks like if you haven’t read the previous books.  There should always been some sort of follow up in the beginning of each book even if it’s a series to cover things previously stated so there aren't such big holes in the plot.  The other books were lacking in detail to me as well so I’m not too surprised I have this complaint again.

Overall

If you love rich hot alpha male books then this series if definitely for you, Hudson and Alayna know how to bring the drama!  Great book and great end to the trilogy I didn’t feel like there was anything left unsaid or open ended.  I’m glad there is going to be a spin off series dealing with the character Gwen because as I reading I thought to myself “Gwen should have her own series” and thankfully that’s happening.

This entire series was really great, and an easy read.  The character development was really detailed and not just when it comes to the main characters but the supporting characters as well.  I really felt like you didn’t just meet Alayna and Hudson but you get to know Hudson’s family and Alayna’s friends pretty well.  I wish there were more details in the book about the things around them those little details make a story very real to me and I wanted more of that in this book.  Also I wish the epilogue when more into the future but that’s just because I want more Hudson and Alayna.  I hope through Gwen series we will see at least a little bit of their future but that is me crossing my fingers!
