Laura’s Review of Nitro’s Torment (Sydney Storm MC, #2) By Nina Levine

Synopsis
The Sydney Storm MC are back and war is coming.

Nitro’s Torment takes the Storm MC to a new level. Dark, gritty and fast-paced, this book is an adrenaline ride right to the very last page.

Tatum Lee is a pain in my ass.

She’s stubborn, full of attitude, and she doesn’t like to do what she’s told.

And yet, at a time when I should be focusing on the war my club is at, she consumes my mind because she’s also fearless and fierce, and I’ve never met a woman like her.

The thing about war, though, is the minute you let your focus drop, your enemy rises up and attacks. And sometimes they bring you to your knees in ways you never imagined.

The other thing about war? You learn just what you’re capable of doing to protect those you love.

What I Loved
First off let me just say, wow!  This book had everything I love about the Storm MC series and then some!!! Nitro was definitely a character I was intrigued with after reading Relent so I was excited to get my hands on this one and boy oh boy there is so much to love about this man.  I loved the passion inside of him and how it was always right here on the surface in every single thing he did. I loved how angry he could get just as much as how compassionate and loving he was.  I’m a huge fan of multi-layered characters and Nitro had so many sides to him I think I could read about him forever and never be satisfied.

The minute he runs into Tatum the chemistry between them was evident no matter the anger that sizzled between them.  I loved everything about Tatum, her attitude towards King and Nitro had me addicted to this girl.  I loved how she didn’t bullshit people, and always said exactly how she felt.  There were no games with her just many walls she built over the years to protect her heart.  Also, I loved how she gave as good as she got when it came to her relationship with Nitro.  The sex between them was off the charts hot and every single second they were together was scorching.  I loved how they couldn’t get enough of each other and how they both consumed each other’s lives.

I think what I loved most about this book was all the drama that went down.  There was a ton of suspense and action that kept me riveted the entire time.  I literally couldn’t put this book down and there were so many times my heart was pounding out of my chest.  So much drama from the very beginning between Nitro and Tatum and even more of it as the story unfolds.

Not So Much
Overall this is probably one of my favorite Nina Levine books so this section will be short.  My only complaint is I wish there were more details.  I have no clue what Tatum’s house looks like at all; what the layout of it is or how it’s decorated.  The same can be said for Nitro’s house or Storm’s headquarters.  Quite a bit of the scenes take place in these places and there is no solid description of any of it.  I would especially love more detail when it comes to the Storm Club House because this is a constant throughout the series so it would be nice to an extensive description on at least that.  For me, when I don’t get those little things they add up to bigger plot holes and take away from the overall reading experience.
To Sum It All Up!
This book was sexy, dark and very dangerous and I loved every minute of it.  Nitro and Tatum’s story gripped my heat from the beginning making it easy to be sucked into their story.  There is a lot of shit that swirls around these two and when it all comes to a head I had tears in my eyes.  I love suspense and romance and this book had that in spades.

Nitro and Tatum were like oil and water at first but once they finally gave in to temptation it was freaking amazing!  I loved every scene they were in together and almost every time they were together clothes were being ripped off.  The passion Nitro had towards his Club and his family he showed Tatum as well and it was so great to see him start to share his darkness with someone else.  Tatum had been burned so many times in her life and right away I just wanted her to find happiness which made her falling in love with Nitro all the more better.

So many emotions were involved while reading this book because the story certainly goes to some very dark places.  I love books that will take you there because it means you emotionally invested in these characters and their story.  There is a lot of blood and violence in this book so prepared for that while reading.  I loved the suspense and the anger that started from the beginning and it there almost till the end.  I can’t wait until the next Sydney Storm Book I’m hoping it’s King but we will just have to wait and see!
