Laura's Review of 'Til Death, Volume 2 ('Til Death, #2) by Bella Jewel

They say there's a fine line between love and hate.

There is.

I married a douchebag.

I didn't know it at the time.

He came in like a handsome stranger and blew me off my feet.

I fell madly in love, like the naive girl I am.

Then he left me high and dry.

Turns out, I was nothing more than a business plan for billionaire playboy, Marcus Tandem.

He needed to be married in order to obtain his grandfather’s business, and I was the poor victim in his path.

I believed in what we had, until the truth reared its ugly head.

I never meant anything to Marcus. Not a damned thing.

With my world spinning on its axis, the girl I once was has long since died.

Instead he left me as this empty, emotionless shell.

I may have made a vow before God to love and cherish him ‘Til Death do we part, but it’s time for me to give back to Marcus, exactly what he gave me.

He has to pay.

And pay he will.

*This is part two of a two book series and it will contain a HEA – Readers over 18+

Wow what an amazing story!  Right away you are thrown into the despair of both Marcus and Katia and immediately you engrossed once again their story.  Their brokenness leaps off the pages and into your heart and instantly you are hooked and don’t want to put this book down!  Katia’s struggle tears your heart apart while Marcus’ desperation makes you want to reach out and just hold him.

There are a bunch of twists and turns in this story and a pretty big one is in the beginning of the story while the others bring you to your lowest lows and some bring you to your highest highs.  I’m not going to tell you what they are but man oh man are they HUGE!

I love the character of Katia she is definitely relatable and lovable and you just want to root for her in each and every scene.  I so badly wanted Katia to be happy and find some peace in her broke heart.  The same can be said for the character of Marcus, both of their foundations were written beautifully along with the growth of each one.
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again details details details!  There is almost no background detail given of anything throughout the entire book.  I get that this is part of a series so there is some things you should know, but most people won’t read these back to back and it’s always great to have refreshers especially when it comes to the characters looks and their environment.  There was a lot of description of what Marcus looks like but hardly any of Katia, and absolutely nothing of the secondary characters.  I did feel like the writing in this part was better than the first one but the lack of details just left some holes in the overall plot of the story and as much as I got engrossed those things took me out of the plot emotionally.
This was an awesome story and I can definitely both of these books were so impossible for me to put down that it took me only a day to read each one.  The plot itself was original enough that it keeps you enthralled and makes the story unpredictable.  I love dark dramas and this story definitely throws the readers down some pretty dark holes.  The chemistry between Marcus and Katia is explosive which leads some pretty rough and amazing sex scenes.  There is a happily ever after at the end of this one, but the road that leads to it is dark, violent, sad, heartbreaking, hot, sexy, and then finally loving.  I loved this series and cannot wait to dive into some other Bella Jewel books.
