Synopsis
This is the last book in the series.
Take my hand, my love.
On sinews of air we tread
Aught but distance our guide
With no tempo to our gait
No endpoint drawn
Neither plot nor plan
By the thorns of a compass rose
We bound toward the horizon

What I Loved
Wow well, this book
definitely set the entire series into an entirely different direction, which I
loved because I didn’t see it coming at all! The last installment in this
series had my heart just in pieces most of the time with tears pouring down my
face. I just fell so much more in love
with Jonathan and Monica and because of that I almost felt desperate at times
because I wanted them to have their happily ever after so badly. I love books
that tug on my heart strings then rip it out and hopefully put it all back
together at the end.
There was so much
going on in this book, not just with Monica and Jonathan as a couple but other
parts of Monica’s life. Her desperation
at times just made me want to reach into this story and hold her because
everything that was happening to her was so much. I felt like I was drowning in her misery and
I loved every second of it. I think what
I loved most about this part in particular was that Monica turned into the hero
not Jonathan, making her a stronger woman than I ever thought possible.
Not So Much
This story was just
so amazing that I truly don’t think I have any real complaints. I think the only negative part of this story
was that I wish the epilogue was more detailed and explained better. Not so much for Monica and Jonathan’s story
but more for Monica’s career and even Darren’s.
He was such a wonderful supporting character that it’s not really
explained how he got to that point in his life just that he’s there. I get the story isn’t about him, but I felt
like a couple more paragraphs would’ve made the epilogue more well-rounded not
just with Darren but with Monica as well.
To Sum It All Up!
