What I loved:

The story of How I Became Lotus Raine….the porn star, is a refreshing take on a profession not always looked upon kindly. Also, Erika has shown such a tremendous amount of growth in her story telling, and with Lotus proves she can do sexy and swoony just as well as any other writer! I loved that this book’s title immediately begins to get you thinking.  
Lucy has an immediate reaction to Brent when she begins to observe (not sure if that is the best term for it but go with it!) him for the week.  Lucy had no idea what she would eventually learn from Brent along the way. I loved that this story is one I have never read before.  It was original and that is rare these days in bookland. 

What I didn’t love:
I am such a fan of Erika’s work, its always hard for me to find something I didn’t like.  Well, I want to say that I didn’t like that it went by too fast! I just felt like I began and it was over. And also, I realized that I am a bit opinionated when it comes to the word “porn.” Maybe overly so.  Anyhoot, I guess its always about self-discovery! 

Overall:
Again, Erika hit the mark with this story.  I know my review was vague at best, but trust me it is better for the story that you go in without knowing much about it.  Never assume about things you do not fully understand. Keep that in mind. Erika always makes me feel something. And I adore her and her work! Please do not be dissuaded and pass over this little gem.
