If you loved Rock My Bed (Black Falcon, #2) by Michelle A.
Valentine, Wethering the Storm (The Storm#2) by Samantha Towle,
and Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour, #1) by Olivia Cunning then you will LOVE this
book!!!!!
“I devour her. And she
consumes me. This is the only way it
will work.”
Basic Summary
She’s not afraid of Luca’s
ex-wife or whatever secret the other woman is holding over him. For two blissful days—the remainder of
Sienna’s contract with Lucas—they hole up in a vacation house in the mountains
of Tennessee, consuming each other. At
the end of their stay, Lucas comes to Sienna with a proposition: his band, Your
Toxic Sequel, is going on tour with Wicked Lambs, and he wants her with him
entire time. Sienna agrees to work
wardrobe and be his official girl.
Life on the road is different
from anything Sienna has ever known. Not
only does she have to deal with Lucas’s band members, but she’s also forced to
be around Cilla, the lead singer of Wicked Lambs, who’s clearly in love with
Lucas. Despite horny band mates and a
persistent gorgeous rock goddess determined to sink her claws into Lucas,
Sienna stays by his side.
Lucas’s ex-wife Sam isn’t happy
that he’s moved on, and Sam begins harassing Sienna—everything from threatening
emails to phone calls and even fake accounts on Your Toxic Sequel message
boards slamming her and spreading vicious rumors. Sienna keeps this from Lucas since she knows
how bad Sam is for his music.
It’s not until Sienna is
attacked by a crazed YTS fan hired by Sam, and Sam starts to aim her verbal
threats at Sienna’s grandmother, that Lucas finally reveals his secret. And it’s a big one...
What I Love About This Book
First off the sexual chemistry between the Sienna and Lucas is sizzling right off the bat. I love Lucas Wolfe, and he is one hot Rockstar!! Definitely some great scenes between Lucas and Sienna that demonstrates just how much they love each other and how they can be together. Lucas is beyond hot and I have a weak spot for tattooed men that many talents and Lucas Wolfe falls nicely right into that category. Although Sienna frustrates me sometimes I really like her as a female lead, she frustrates me in a good way though. There’s a couple of scenes in this book where I would've been slapping her across the face screaming “what were you thinking” but she made the right decisions and it’s exactly why I am NOT a female lead in a book.
Cons
Okay this book is listed under the erotica genre and part of me agrees with that, but the first couple of sex scenes are so detailed when it comes to the foreplay the way it should be then just end. No detailed actual sex scenes at all!!!! It’s such a tease to give us detailed foreplay but not detailed sex scenes; this was a gripe I kind of had with the first book as well. I definitely felt throughout the book that the foreplay was very detailed but the sex was more brushed over and I’m big on the entirety of sex scenes that there should be just as much detail for the beginning, during, and after and it’s inconsistent to me when an author does that. I get it though that the scene is about their love and their sexual chemistry and not about the all the details, I would just have liked the weight of the scene more distributed.
Also I felt like things could’ve
been a little bit more detailed than they were.
The pace of the book was a little fast, and things that were skipped
over that I felt should’ve had more detail.
For example, scenes with Gram were a little too short for me and
scattered and there should’ve been more details about her relationship with her
brother mother and father. I get that
this is the second book in a series but for someone that might just read this
book I don’t know if they would’ve gotten the whole picture as much. I felt like the character development for
Sienna and Lucas was awesome and I felt like I could really understand where
they were coming from, but I can’t say the same for the supporting characters.
Overall
This book was great! And FINALLY Lucas’ secret is revealed. I’m not going to tell you what it is, and I’m not going to even hint at it. I will tell you, it’s at the end so don’t even think you will find out in the first couple of chapters. There’s tons of drama in this book but by the end you get the closure you’ve been looking for since All Over You (Devoured, #0.5). I didn’t feel like there were any lulls in this book, there was never a point while I was reading that I felt bored, and that’s a definite plus in my book. Like I said before I wish it was more detailed, and at times I felt like the chapters were a little disjointed and not flowing the way I would’ve liked but that’s just my opinion. I think the story did a great job describing the whys of a lot of the character’s actions, but towards the end I would’ve liked more explanations of the hows. Great story, I worship the ground Lucas Wolfe walks on, and hopefully this will not be the last I’ve heard of him. It would be great to have the other band members have their own series, I would love to delve into their minds and find out what’s brewing. I love Lucas and Sienna together and I’m so happy for them, like I said before I hope this is not the last I’ve heard of Lucas because I never have enough Lucas Wolfe in my life.
