Summary: 12 years ago Liv loved Danny maybe more then he loved her. Danny thinks he loved Liv more than she loved him. So 12 years ago when Danny had to leave the UK to go to America, Liv didn’t put up a fight and let him go. Liv still lives in England and owns a restaurant/bar and has just discovered her boyfriend cheating in their home. She kicks him to the curb. A few days later, thanks to a a little thing called Facebook, and maybe some outside helpers, Liv receives a message that reconnects her to the guy that she has never really stopped loving. They exchange back and forth jabs and compliments, but Danny needs to finish what he started so long ago. He goes to England for Liv. Things progress quickly and they must deal with outside forces trying to throw obstacles their way.
What I love about this book: First, I love that this book takes place in England. It is somewhere I always have wanted to go so I get very excited when I read a book that is set there. Second, I love Liv’s free spirit. She is kind of a bad ass chick. She knows her limits and isn’t afraid to kick a cheating man’s ass to the curb!!! Third, I loved that the main characters were accomplished at such a young age. Very independent and capable of living how the want. Last, I love Max and Jen, Liv and Danny’s best friends respectively. They bring a great support to the storyline!!
What I didn’t like: I am so not a fan of cliffhangers. This book ended and I immediately wanted to dive into the second book, but it is not out just quite yet. Look, I get that a series will have cliffhangers sometimes, but I really really wanted to get answers1!!!
Favorite quotes: “I have been cheated on twice, stolen from and I didn’t even trust my own father. I’m not a girl who believes in happily ever after.”-Liv
“I told you I had to finish something I started a long time ago...so here I am.”-Danny
“I can see my future with you Liv, and if you feel the same way, then we have to try.”-Danny
“He is the only guy who has ever done a number on me. My main fear is that if he is no longer a myth, he’s here, then he might let me down too.”-Liv
