What I Loved About This Book: First, I love when an author switches POV and allows us to drive into the heads of multiple characters. By allowing us insight into Ronin's thoughts, you cannot help but form an attachment to him. One of things that kept me interested was the setting of this story. I don't know much about the modeling world and I was fascinated by the enviroment that Antoine, Elise and Ronin created...Erotic Photography. And that my friends is what makes this book HOT! The best parts of this book was experiencing each shot Rook has to sit for and her interactions between the male models.
Cons: While I love a strong, independent character, Rook makes some questionable decisions. I admire her ability to move on with her life and her fight to be free and self-reliant. Not many women can step away from an abusive relationship and resist the cycle of returning. One of the main things that surprises me about Rook is her impulsiveness to sign the contract with Spencer. She signs the contract out of anger towards Ronin and it seemed out of character of her when she puts so much thought into her decisions. She seems smarter than that and I hope her decision does come back to bit her in the tush.
Manic (Rook & Ronin #2)
Summary: TRAGIC is over and Rook is ready for the future—Spencer Shrike and the STURGIS contract! It’s three months of body art modeling! That means three months of Spencer Shrike’s paintbrush all over her body, three months in front of Antoine’s camera, and three months of twenty-four hour filming for Spencer’s Biker Channel reality show. Wait a minute…what reality show? Maybe she should’ve read that STURGIS contract a little closer? ;) Sure, Rook’s bank account is almost overflowing, but Ronin is angry, Clare is trying to escape rehab, Antoine is a worried mess, and Elise is just trying to hold everyone together. Her new family is about to fall apart before she even gets the chance to enjoy them.

What I Loved About This Book: This is rare for me but I enjoyed reading the sec
ond book more than the first. For me to read a book in a day means that at no point was I able to put this book down. Similar to Book #1, the highlight of this book for me was each unique and provocative photo shoot. I cannot imagine how risque it must have been to have your entire naked body painted for a photo shoot. I don't know if I could sit that long and have a Spencer's face all up in my business and have that soft paintbrush gliding over every nook and cranny. Not only does Rook have to sit through those intense painting sessions but then has the sensual experience of shooting with different males for each sexy outfit. HOT! HOT! HOT!
Another dimension of this story that kept me reading on was the development of relationships that Rook experiences with Ronin, Spencer and Ford. J.A Huss kept me on my toes this entire novel with each character and Rook's connection with them. I was constantly wondering where this story was going. However, there is something about Ford. So obviously I hated him when he first met Rook but the more and more involved he is with Rook's life, the more and more captivating he is becoming. He has such a different approach to Rook in contrast to Ronin. He seems to genuinely want Rook to better herself and face her demons before she goes diving into another relationship.
Overall, this book gave me everything I need. Don't forget plenty of drama too! I give J.A Huss a lot of credit for keeping me fixated on this story and running to read the third installment...
Panic (Rook & Ronin #3)

What I Loved About This Book: Surprisingly, what really got me in this book was the relationship that develops between Rook and Ford. While I was reading the second book, I thought with Spencer being up close and personal with Rook that the relationship between the two of them was going to grow. I never would have expected Rook and Ford to take the turn they did. I actually found myself rooting for Ford for a majority of the book and what is odd is that I think Ford would be a better fit for Rook. Ford seems to really see Rook and is able to speak freely about her past with Jon and what happened. He even gets her to admit that she is drawn to him and could see herself submitting to him.
"It changes nothing for me, because the difference between you and Ronin is that you're looking for the girl I was and he is looking for the girl I want to be."
I understand that Ronin allows her to make a choice instead of controlling her and telling her what to do but Ronin has faults too. Knowing Rook's past and her ability to trust, he chooses to lie to her about something as silly as a photo shoot with Clare. I just don't see how a relationship like that can last with such a lack of communication.
With that being said what an entertaining and unpredictable third book. I was really wondering where J.A Huss was going to go with this now that Jon had been arrested but whoa baby...the plot thickens. I could not read fast enough when Rook escapes and goes back to her past (trying not to reveal too much) and gets trapped. I think what happened in that house needed to happen for Rook to finally be able to move on with her life. She reveals so much to us about what really happened to her and the depth of her relationship with Jon. I had no idea how open she becomes about what Jon was involved with.
J.A Huss did an incredible job with this trilogy. Each book just got better and better. So many times an author will keep going and going and will fill the second and third book with fluff and unnecessary scenes but Huss stayed clear of that and wrote three amazingly entertaining books. And after that epilogue, I am counting down the days to read more about Ford!!
What's Next on my TBR: Five Weeks in December (Twisted & Tied #1) by Blue Kincaid
The HOT, STEAMY, DETAILED three way sex. Let's be honest...what woman has not fantasized about having two men in bed?? These scenes will definitely turn you on if your not conservative when it comes to sex. However, if you are, you should not be picking up a book about a three-way relationship. 
Far-Fetched. Yes, I think that finding a girl on the street and convincing her to give you a blow job and join your sexcapades is a rare find. It did however make the story more interesting. As I was reading, I was cursing J.A. Huss, in a nice-friendly way of course, don't you dare end this without a HEA. I really did not know where this story could go. How can a three way work in a happy ending? Doesn't someone always feel left out and eventually there is jealous and betrayal?? It was a little too HEA for me. It left me questioning the whole development of Blue and why she initially needed both JD and Ark but eventually only needed one.
