Synopsis
My name is Thomas
and I’m always hard.
No really, that’s my last name. Thomas Hard, the pleasure is all mine … literally.
I can’t help it that my name suits me well.
You know what else suits me well? That girl sitting across the bar, with her lips right where I tell them to be. I want her, and when I want something, it’s gonna be mine.
One night. No names. No phone numbers. Just me, her, and pure pleasure.
Except, that one girl turns out to be the biggest mistake of my life.
Why?
Because I broke my cardinal rule …
Never bang a student.
Author’s note: Don’t like reckless decisions & unbridled screwing? Don’t love girls that are obsessed with ice cream, rainbows, and unicorns? Don’t enjoy a bit of corny humor sprinkled on top? Then this book is not for you. And last but not least, if you hate cats with giant jewels … Don’t even bother.

What I Loved

The Chemistry between them was instantaneous
and you knew when they laid on eyes on each other in classroom the things were
not over between them. It was great
watching relationship grow and as that happened finding out all their secrets made
me want to keep reading.
Not So Much
The book began really hot and steamy
but after that the appeal fell away. The
immaturity of Hailey was a big turn off, I love female characters that have a
certain personality and stick to it but Hailey just came off very naive and
silly at times.
Also the writing for me needed to be
elevated in a lot of ways. There wasn’t
a ton of detail to support the background of this story. I have no idea what Hailey’s dorm room looked
like, or Thomas’ apartment. I have no
clue what the college looked like let along where her dorm was compared to her
classes or what kind of environment this college had. Every university/college is different and create
their own unique environment or feeling. In this book, there was nothing in this
story to offer any of those important details.
Another issue that bothered me was the
inconsistencies throughout the plot.
Thomas towards the end was scared being seen in her dorm room, but
earlier picked her up on a date there.
Lesley, Hailey’s roommate could be vulgar at times but has a problem
seeing Thomas and Hailey kiss? A lot of
the little things like that didn’t add up for me, and it felt like the plot was
twisted to fit the story rather than stay consistent. It’s a big pet peeve of mine when I feel like
authors change things around to fit their story rather than keep details
consistent.
To Sum It All Up!

The story though just didn’t do it for
me overall. Hailey came off very
immature and childlike, which I get is in the warning written above but this
story is geared towards a more adult audience so it was hard to connect with a
character like that. The other problem
was that, although Thomas is older and the teacher in this scenario his
maturity level fit Hailey rather than an adult male. He was hot certainly, but there were times I
was expecting more from him. The writing
just wasn’t up to par for what it should be and left me a little unsatisfied. I needed more depth to the characters and
foundation, and there was no character development. Overall the story had a lot
of great promise and the sex scenes were sizzling but the writing fell short
for me.
