Laura’s Review of Beautiful Beloved (Beautiful Bastard, #3.6) by Christina Lauren

Synopsis
The seventh work in the New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling series that started with the Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player novels. Featuring all the Beautiful characters...plus one tiny new addition to the group.

In Beautiful Stranger, finance whiz Sara Dillon met the irresistibly sexy Brit, Max Stella, at a New York City club. Through the series we’ve watched them learn to balance commitment with their less than private brand of playfulness. In Beautiful Beloved, Max and Sara take it to the next step. But the question is: Will they be able to find a balance between the wild sexcapades they aren’t ready to retire, and the demands of parenthood that come along with their new Beautiful bundle of joy? Parenthood: it’s not for the weak of heart.

What I Loved

First of all, I absolutely love the Beautiful Bastard series and Max Stella has been my favorite character in the series so far.  It was so great to get to see into his life again if only for a little bit.  We meet Max and Sara trying to settle into their new lives while trying find what they had together before they became parents.

The sexual chemistry is still boils between these two which makes their relationship so enjoyable to read.  I love the way Max is still head over heels in love with Sara and how he can’t get enough of her.  Plus, Max always has a way of inserting some comedic relief into scenes while fanning the flames in others.

Not So Much
I have absolutely no complaints while reading this.  My only complaint would be that I want more Max and Sara in my life!

To Sum It All Up!
Overall this was a great book about a married couple finding a new balance between their wild sex life and being parents.  Max is my favorite character in this series because of his sense of humor, charisma and the unconditional love he has for those he cares about.  I also love Sara so much because she can be a bad ass business woman while at the same time a submissive, and a mother at others.  Both of these characters have so many levels and even though this is a novella you still see those different aspects.  I am such a huge fan of this series, I always end one of these stories needing to get my hands on another.  Give me more beautiful bastards please!!!
