Laura’s Review of Command (Storm MC, #7) by Nina Levine

Synopsis
Betrayal. Destruction. Loss.

The Storm MC is a club in crisis and their new President, Scott Cole, has declared war on their enemy. As Scott takes command, the MC is thrust into the biggest battle in their history – a battle to not only save the club, but the lives of its members.

Harlow James stands behind her man as he takes charge. She’s determined to prove she can be the woman he needs. However, somewhere along the way, she’s lost a piece of herself, and she fights to be strong for him when she feels anything but strong.

As the club descends into chaos, Scott and Harlow are pulled in opposite directions while they try to protect everything that is important to them. Their relationship is tested in ways it never has been, but they cling to the faith they have in each other.

Is faith enough to get you through when all appears to be lost? For Scott and Harlow, it may be the only thing that, in the end, will save them and the club.

What I Loved
I was so happy to finally read this book, Scott and Harlow are probably my favorite couple in the entire series so to see their story continue was amazing.  If you’ve read the other books then you know that Scott and Harlow were going through a pretty rough patch and it was great to see them come out the other side of that as a stronger more committed couple.

The sizzling sexual chemistry is still there in very hot and steamy ways between these two.  I love that Scott can’t seem to get enough of Harlow because it shows you how much they still love each other.  I also loved that we get a conclusion to the overall arc of the series when it comes to the MC.  There has been massive drama and tons of tension within the club and I loved how it all played out and came to an end.  I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and couldn’t put the book down! There was a ton of shit swirling around Scott and the MC so I couldn’t wait to see how it would all end.  I’m not going to give anything away but I will say you won’t be disappointed!

Not So Much
My only hang up, which is my normal issue when it comes to this series is that there just isn’t enough background detail for me.  The writing has definitely gotten better as the series has progressed but I just wish there was more contextual detail.  I really don’t know what Scott and Harlow’s house looks like or what the bakery is like for example.  Also I know that this is a series, not to be read as a standalone but a rundown of what people look like and who they are would’ve been nice.  I haven’t read some of these book in a really long time so it’s hard to remember every single relationship and character in the series.

To Sum It All Up!

This was such a wonderful to end this part of the series.  It might not have begun with Scott and Harlow but it was nice to end it with president of the MC and his Old Lady. To see that the club has turned a corner and brighter days are ahead it just so great.  I get that this is an MC so of course there will be more drama and I can’t wait for that but I’m glad this part has ended in such a wonderful way.  The plot was compelling I couldn’t put the book down from the very beginning! I loved Harlow and Scott’s relationship and how much they love each other probably the most in this book.  When they were apart I could feel the ache in Harlow’s chest of how much she missed him by her side, and when they were together you feel just as excited as they both are.  No Storm MC book would be completed without tons of suspense and this story definitely had lots of that.  By the end of the book I had tears of joy in my eyes and a huge smile on my face.  I can’t wait to see what is in store next for the Storm MC and all the amazing characters we have met along the way.
