Laura’s Review of Infatuation (Knights Rebels MC, #4) by River Savage

Synopsis
Beau McIntyre is driven by a past smothered in blood and covered in bruises. Though tragic, it's help shape his future and define the man he's become.

Day in and day out, he's reminded of his failures in the faces of the women he saves. But what happens when one girl threatens to blow all of that apart? Will Beau lose his grip on the controlled lifestyle he abides by?

Mackenzie Moore is running from a past she needs to forget. A past that has molded her into a woman living in fear. One fateful night, her carefully constructed world is pulled down around her, forcing her to make a decision she's not sure she can live with.

Turning to the Knights Rebels MC for help is the last thing she wants, but everything she needs.

Can Beau save her once again, or is what she running to far worse than what she’s running from?

What I Loved
I was so excited to get down and dirty with the Knights’ Rebels MC again, they are one smoking hot motorcycle club that always offers up a good story.  I was especially happy to finally get to Beau’s, he’s a character in the past that has intrigued me so it was fun to finally get inside his head.  His past and story has always fascinated me which makes him that much more sexy.  It was so wonderful to watch those walls he’s built crash down the minute Mackenzie comes back into his life.

Also, it was wonderful to experience these two fall in love and build a life together.  The chemistry between them poured off the pages the minute they laid eyes on each other.  Plus, I couldn’t wait for them to get it on because the tension just kept on building and building until it exploded.  By the end of this story you know the love they have for each other is something truly beautiful and everlasting.

Of course no story in the Knights Rebels MC series is complete without suspense and heart pounding moments.  Infatuation definitely had my heart pounding and there were twists in the plot line that I did not see coming at all, which made me love Infatuation even more!

Not So Much
Alright, this is going to be a short section because I loved this story so much.  My only complaint is that towards the end I felt like certain scenes needed a little bit more follow through.  I know that a lot of things weren’t answered because they will addressed as the series goes on but there were instances that I felt like needed more explanation and detail.  I get that not all things are going to be answered and I love that because it makes me look forward to what’s next in the series, but I felt like there were parts in the story that were wrapped up too quickly for the sake of ending the plot.

To Sum It All Up!

Overall this was an awesome story! Beau has captivated me from the very beginning because he risked his life so many times to help so many women and that makes him a very honorable man.  The minute Mackenzie walks onto the compound and Beau lays on eyes on her sparks fly immediately and from there the story only gets better.  The love between them is so genuine and raw at times it definitely moved me.

Also there was way more detail in this series as far as the background settings and what towns this was all taking place in which I really enjoyed.  It definitely added to the overall experience giving me a fuller more detailed picture of the plot.   The flow of the plot was right on point along with the character development as well.  There was a pretty big bomb dropped at a certain point, I did not see coming in the slightest which I LOVED.  There were things left open especially when it comes to Brooks and Kelly so I’m praying their story is the next one.  It was great to watch the rest of the club couples continue on their journey and see them build families and homes together.  I totally love this series and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the club next!

Side Note:  There were traumatic scenes in this book that really struck a chord with me.  I have been an abusive relationship in the past and ironically my boyfriend’s name was Chad.  It’s been a long time since I’ve left him but there were definitely some tense moments while reading for me.  If you have issues with domestic violence or if it upsets you just a fair warning it is in this book.  River Savage gives very shocking and true statistics as the end of the story and where you can get more information about Domestic Violence which I loved, so thank you very much for that River.
