Laura’s Review of Reclaimed (Knights Rebels MC, #2.5) by River Savage

Synopsis
When the woman you love is lost, how hard will you fight to get her back?

Following the birth of her daughter, Kadence Knight finds herself in a battle she never prepared for. With desperation and unhappiness threatening to overwhelm her, a sense of hopelessness pulls her away from the one thing she has always longed for: a family.

As Nix watches his wife struggle with something he doesn't understand, he can't help but feel disconnected to his woman. The Kadence he once knew has drifted into the darkness. In her place is a shadow of the woman she once was, one who is fearful of the impossible...failing their daughter.

This Valentine’s Day, Nix has one goal — to reclaim the woman who gave him everything.

*Please note this is a novella and features the characters from the previous storyline.
The events of Reclaimed take place after Incandescent and Affliction. Book one and two in the Knights Rebels MC.
To get the full advantage of the story, and character development, I strongly suggest you read in order.

What I Loved
Wow who knew a novella could pack such an emotional punch?  I was expecting hearts and flowers and happiness after Kadence gives birth with Nix just being over the moon about his new daughter.  I was not expecting a household frozen because Kadence is suffering from postpartum depression and can’t find her way out.  The desperation that Nix feels is palpable and hits you right in the heart almost immediately.  It was so easy for me to become engrossed in Nix and Kadence’s world again and fall in love with these two characters all over again.  As sad as some parts of this story were, you still feel the immense love between Kadence and Nix and it’s carries you through this entire story.

Not So Much
I really don’t think there was anything I didn’t love about this story.  There was great foundation, and understanding where and when this plot was taking place and the development and writing was right on point as well.  I guess maybe some more background detail to remind us what the club house looks like and Kadence and Nix’s house.  There wasn’t any real descriptions of that at all, so it was hard to remember what all of that looked like.

To Sum It All Up!

This was such a great novella, I forgot how much I missed Kadence and Nix until I started reading this and then I just couldn’t put it down.  I love Nix and all his crazy alphaness and of course his potty mouth.  I love his possessiveness over his family and to see him as a dad all over again to little Harlow was so cute I couldn’t stop smiling.  I love when big tough men turn to mush around kids, it’s so cute.  Of course no Knights Rebels story wouldn’t be complete without the Knights Rebels and they are there lending a hand to the comedic parts of the book.  Of course there is a happily ever after at the end of this one that has me giggling a couple times but then of course takes a very sexy turn.  Who doesn’t love hot naked Nix?
