Synopsis
Victoria |
When a powerful man is willing to risk everything for his own satisfaction, only one woman can beat him at his own game: his wife. Or so she thinks…
“Let’s start with you calling me Stewart. Formalities seem unnecessary.”
Stewart Harrington is rich, gorgeous, and one of the most powerful men in Miami. He always gets what he wants. Anything is available to him for the right price.
Even me.
Being the wife of a mogul comes with all the perks, but being Mrs. Stewart Harrington comes with a few special requirements. I’ve learned to keep a part of myself locked away as my husband watches me submit to his needs. But the more he demands of me, the more beguiled he becomes and that’s to my advantage. So I keep fulfilling his fantasies and following his rules because he doesn’t know that what he’s playing is really my game. And winning is everything, right?
Insidious is a stand-alone novel and the first Tales from the Dark Side title. Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only.

What I Loved
Stewart |
I truly love and appreciate books that I have no idea
where the story is going to go, or how it’s all going to end. That is probably why I love Aleatha Romig so
damn much because the entire time I read Insidious I had no idea what was going
to happen next. There were some things I
had theories about and one of them I was correct about which was awesome
because it was a pretty big bombshell.
I absolutely LOVE the character of Victoria;
she is one tough and scary bitch who any human being should be scared to cross
which made her awesome! I can’t get
enough of books that have strong female characters, and watching Victoria worm
her way through this dark devious world was truly amazing. Victoria grew up thinking she was evil, that
she only brought death to the people she cares about, so reading how she
regained power of her life and used that power to put the many men around in
their place was so great. I loved the
way she talked to people, I love that she could think on her feet, while at the
same time plot these complicated dark plans to bring horrible people down.
